I had a blast participating in the International Scarf Exchange. My exchangee had said that she would like lace and no pastels. I repeat, no pastels.

I had never done any lace before, but I never let that stop me before. I tried out a few patterns.

The first was the Dayflower Scarf, using Lamb's Pride Cotton Fleece. It came out lovely, but I really didn't like the way that the cotton blocked. It never really held onto its shape and as a scarf, I found that it constantly rolled onto itself........ So onto my next endeavor......

The second was the Branching Out Scarf, using Knit One Crochet Too, Creme Bruele from the Gourment Collection. It is a luscious superwash merino in a traditional camel color. It came out fabulous and I am so proud of it. So, off it went out in the mail last week. I am hoping that my exchangee will love receiving it just as much as I loved making it. I had such a great time, "meeting" fellow knitters and exchanging some great ideas.
